This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies this website uses, why we use them and how you can change your choice at any time. It covers our practices in Spain (Estepona and La Cala de Mijas) and in Germany (Nürnberg).
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (local storage, session storage) work in the same way. They allow a site to remember your actions and preferences.
2. Cookies used on this website
Strictly necessary (always active): a consent record storing your cookie choice, your language selection and your selected clinic. These are stored in your browser's local storage, contain no personal identifiers and are never shared.
Functional: none set without your consent.
Analytics / statistics: none. We do not use Google Analytics or comparable tracking tools.
Advertising / profiling: none. We never set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
3. Third-party services
Appointment booking via Doctolib (Nürnberg practice): if you follow the Doctolib link, Doctolib GmbH sets its own cookies on its own website under its own cookie policy (doctolib.de).
WhatsApp contact (Estepona practice): opening a WhatsApp chat takes you to WhatsApp Ireland Ltd., which processes the conversation under its own terms.
Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts; your IP address is transmitted to Google for the sole purpose of delivering the font files. No font cookies are set.
4. Legal basis
Spain: art. 22.2 of Act 34/2002 (LSSI-CE) and the AEPD cookie guidelines allow strictly necessary cookies without consent; any other cookie requires your prior, informed and unambiguous consent.
Germany: § 25(2) TDDDG (formerly TTDSG) permits storage on your device without consent only where it is strictly necessary to deliver the service you requested; all other storage requires consent under § 25(1) TDDDG together with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
5. Managing and withdrawing consent
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge all provide this under Privacy/Security). Blocking strictly necessary storage may cause parts of the site to stop working.
6. Storage periods
The consent record is stored for 12 months, after which the banner is shown again. Language and clinic preferences remain until you clear your browser storage.
